Sioux Narrows and Nestor Falls are Lake of the Woods communities where island-dotted water, Canadian Shield, and outdoor traditions define the rhythm of life. The bridge, falls, fishing, wildlife, and quiet bays make the area a treasured home and an unforgettable destination.
The collaboration
The Sioux Narrows and Nestor Falls Mug began simply from a love for this beautiful part of Northwestern Ontario. While living in the region, our family sometimes traveled from Emo toward Kenora and passed through the community. The water, rock cuts, and changing northern landscape made those drives memorable.
The Sioux Narrows Bridge naturally became part of the artwork, but one of my favorite elements is the local arts festival. I love that a small community has created such a meaningful place for artists and the arts.
The mug is available at The Log Tavern, where visitors can take home a useful reminder of this remarkable corner of Lake of the Woods.

The bridge crossing Lake of the Woods is the community’s most recognizable gateway.
