The collaboration

A local story, drawn one detail at a time.

The Tehachapi Mug began with local research and a collaboration with Mountain Coffee House. Ashley translated the community’s recognizable places and shared references into an original drawing designed for everyday use.

The Tehachapi Mug continues through Mountain Coffee House, where another sizeable restock was requested in September 2026.

Each element began as an individual hand drawing. Ashley refined the artwork and arranged the pieces into a continuous design made to wrap around a ceramic mug, creating a keepsake that feels specific to Tehachapi.

The creative process

Choosing the details that feel unmistakably Tehachapi.

I built this design around Tehachapi Loop, Tehachapi Depot Railroad Museum, Tehachapi Pass Wind Farms, and Tehachapi Mountains. Each was drawn on its own, then adjusted and arranged until the finished wrap felt less like a collection of icons and more like a walk through Tehachapi.

A meaningful local gift

A hometown gift that feels unmistakably Tehachapi.

A thoughtful choice for a realtor closing gift, new homeowner, or longtime resident, the artwork turns familiar Tehachapi, California landmarks into a useful keepsake rather than an ordinary souvenir.
