Roscoe Village feels like a true neighborhood, with tree-lined streets, independent shops, classic Chicago homes, and gathering places close at hand. Roscoe Street, Fellger Park, Audubon School, and the Brown Line help create the lived-in warmth residents love and visitors quickly notice.
The collaboration
The Roscoe Village Mug was created in collaboration with the Bakehouse team. It has been great working with this group of entrepreneurs and watching what they are building across their locations.
Roscoe Village has so much character. Two of my favorite details are the Roscoe Village sign on the bridge and the summer concerts along the river, represented by the band playing on the pillar. That little musical scene is such a fun part of the finished design.

Roscoe Street brings together neighborhood storefronts, independent retailers, and gathering places in Chicago’s “Village Within the City.”
Independent bookshops, boutiques, gift stores, and home-design retailers give Roscoe Village’s shopping streets their neighborhood character.
Fellger Park is a neighborhood playlot that was part of Chicago’s wave of new public playgrounds in 1950.
The Addison stop connects this part of Chicago’s North Side with the CTA Brown Line and its route to the Loop.
Audubon Elementary serves prekindergarten through eighth-grade students in Chicago’s Roscoe Village community.
With one apartment on each floor, Chicago’s two-flats are a distinctive neighborhood housing form often recognized by brick or stone fronts and projecting bay windows.
