Community
Lisle is a friendly village where natural beauty and community traditions are easy to find. The Morton Arboretum, Dragonfly Landing, Four Lakes, the Depot Museum, and beloved local events make it a comfortable home and an inviting destination in every season.
The collaboration
The Lisle Mug began as a passion project while I was exploring communities around Northern Illinois. I grew up in nearby Plainfield and was familiar with Lisle, but drawing the mug gave me the chance to learn much more about its history and character.
The town’s connection to hot-air balloons especially stood out to me, along with its small and welcoming downtown. The finished mug found a home at Creme & Co., and it has been such a pleasure collaborating with Areej. She is incredibly kind, and the partnership has made this little hometown project especially enjoyable.

Founded by Joy Morton in 1922, The Morton Arboretum in Lisle spans 1,700 acres of tree collections, gardens, and natural landscapes.
Four Lakes brings skiing and snowboarding to Lisle, with beginner areas and rope tows close to Chicago.
The depot at the Museums at Lisle Station Park recalls the railroad-centered farming community once known as Lisle Station.
Eyes to the Skies was Lisle’s Fourth of July holiday festival, a community tradition that ran from 1980 through 2019.
Downtown Lisle’s Main Street sits beside PrairieWalk Pond, a landscaped gateway with paths, native plantings, and Dragonfly Landing.
Dragonfly Landing at PrairieWalk Pond pairs a nature-themed playground with a splash pad and a shelter topped by a green roof.
