The collaboration

A local story, drawn one detail at a time.

This design belongs to a growing Blackberry Market collaboration that gives each community its own hand-drawn portrait. The shared collection connects several shop locations while keeping the landmarks and local references specific to each town.

Each element began as an individual hand drawing. Ashley refined the artwork and arranged the pieces into a continuous design made to wrap around a ceramic mug, creating a keepsake that feels specific to North Little Rock.

The story behind the mug

From the first connection to a mug made for North Little Rock.

  1. Blackberry Market shares the community story

Ashley partnered with Blackberry Market to create a mug rooted in North Little Rock.

  2. The character of the place comes into focus

Research and community input highlighted Argenta, the Arkansas River, naval history, cycling, baseball, and the skyline shared across the river.

  3. North Little Rock takes shape

Ashley translated each selected place and symbol into an individual hand-drawn illustration.

  4. One community story from every side

The drawings were refined and arranged into a continuous design that rewards a closer look.

  5. Available through Blackberry Market

The finished mug became a locally available keepsake through Blackberry Market.

The creative process

Choosing the details that feel unmistakably North Little Rock.

I built this design around Argenta Arts District, The Old Mill, USS Razorback, and Junction Bridge. Each was drawn on its own, then adjusted and arranged until the finished wrap felt less like a collection of icons and more like a walk through North Little Rock.

A meaningful local gift

Made for the people who carry North Little Rock with them.

Whether someone has just moved to North Little Rock, Arkansas, is preparing to leave, or still calls it home from miles away, this hometown mug offers a warm and useful connection to the community.
