Little Rock is a capital city with a deeply layered history, a lively riverfront, and outdoor beauty woven into urban life. The River Market, Central High School, the Old State House, and the Big Dam Bridge give residents and visitors meaningful ways to experience the city.
The collaboration
My husband’s grandfather lived in Little Rock, so Matt visited the city as a child and had the opportunity to know the area. That family connection made it especially meaningful when the opportunity arose to create a Little Rock Mug.
The design followed the wonderful response to the North Little Rock Mug. When Blackberry Market expanded the collaboration, I worked with the Arkansas owners, Peter and Whitney Loibner, to gather feedback, make revisions, and develop a mug that felt specific to Little Rock.
It has been a joy to work with them and to see the relationship grow from one community mug into a second design celebrating another beautiful part of central Arkansas.
