Hinsdale is admired for its natural beauty, historic architecture, and the welcoming rhythm of village life. Downtown shops, Robbins Park, the Metra station, Fullersburg Woods, and familiar civic landmarks create a hometown that feels polished, connected, and deeply lived in.
The collaboration
Hinsdale is special to me because it is where I was born. I have always appreciated the town’s history, the investment people have made in it, and the beauty and character of its downtown.
It has been wonderful working with Angela at Cafe La Fortuna. I love the intimate feeling of a locally rooted coffee shop, and collaborating with her gave the mug a home that fits the community beautifully.
The mugs have sold so well, and I am grateful that we could work together to tell part of Hinsdale’s story and celebrate a place that is personally meaningful to me.

Inside the illustration
At Seventh and Vine streets, Robbins Park combines neighborhood play space with tennis courts, ballfields, and a football and soccer field.
Hinsdale’s downtown station serves Metra’s BNSF Line, connecting the village with Chicago Union Station and Aurora.
Nearby in Oak Brook, Fullersburg Woods protects woodland and migratory-bird habitat and includes a nature education center and historic Graue Mill.
Hinsdale Central High School’s Red Devils identity connects school athletics, homecoming, and generations of local school spirit.
Dedicated in 1928 as a war memorial, Hinsdale’s Memorial Building was modeled on Philadelphia’s Independence Hall and housed village offices and the public library.
